Variation is Good
Creamy body, banana and spice, dessert like. When was the last time I had a hefeweizen? Like a year? According to the google machine, it was ten months ago, and it was this same beer, Occidental Hefeweizen.
It’s strange how quietly trends change these days. It used to be that every brewery made a summer wheat, and I drank them all. It used to be that I drank lots of different beers. These days it seems everything I drink is a subtle variation on IPA or sour. I didn’t realize I was in such a hole. But the data doesn’t lie.
Time for another theme week. Maybe beers made with quinoa? That would be interesting.
